In the past staff at Freemasons' Hall have used a thermal binding technique
to bind together papers when necessary. This machine has broken and whilst
not all the papers bound together end up being sent to the archives, on
occasion they do. What methods would list members recommend for binding
what can often be very thick bundles of papers? We don’t want to recommend
the use of any kind of ring/spiral binders as they add bulk. We would also
like to use something that will not lead to conservation issues in the
future.
