We are offering a a full-time, fully-funded PhD scholarship in CHICAS (http://chicas.lancaster-university.uk/) at Lancaster University. In collaboration with Liverpool, Manchester, and Bristol Universities, this project aims to detect disease outbreaks in companion animals from veterinary practice records collected via the automated distributed system SAVSNET (https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/savsnet/). The project will develop real-teim spatiotemporal statistical methods and implementations for eventual incorporation into the SAVSNET “Agile” framework for national companion animal disease reporting.
