announces the next Pre-Ordinary Meeting:

Pre-Ordinary Meeting for "Optimum design of experiments for statistical
inference"
15:00-16:00, 16th November 2011
RSS, 12 Errol Street, London EC1Y 8LX
To precede the ordinary meeting at 17:00 for "Optimum design of
experiments for statistical inference" by Steven Gilmour and Luzia Trinca.
The pre-meetings are organised by the Young Statistician Section and
aimed at career-young statisticians: PhDs, postdocs and early career
researchers. Though all are welcome.
Our invited speakers give presentations aimed at making the Read Paper
of the Ordinary Meeting that follows more accessible to PhD students,
young statisticians and those not familiar with the area or topic. Our
speakers for this meeting are:
Prof Steven Gilmour (University of Southampton)
Prof Rosemary Bailey (Queen Mary, University of London)
