EUROlinkCAT: Establishing a Linked European Cohort of Children with Congenital Anomalies
A statistician is needed to analyse the health of children with congenital anomalies. Twenty-two congenital anomaly registries in 14 European countries are linking their data to mortality, hospital discharge, prescription and educational databases. Each registry will perform standard analyses and meta-analytic techniques will investigate hypotheses at a European level.
Key attributes of the successful applicant include:
Strong statistical/mathematical background
Previous research related to medical statistics, epidemiology or a closely related discipline
Experience in the analysis of large and/or longitudinal datasets
Proficiency in using and programming mainstream statistical packages (e.g. Stata, SPSS, SAS or R)
Ability to present research to a general scientific audience
Enthusiasm for population-based research
