Have any Abbott Architect users noticed large shifts in FT3 results when a new calibrator lot is issued for the assay? We have found differences in patient results between different calibrator lot numbers. We have also noticed the large spread in EQA results (B scores both plus and minus 10 and some off the scale) for Abbott Architect FT3 users, which we assume is down to the large variation in calibrators lots in circulation. How are labs dealing with this and are they having to change reference ranges everytime a new calibrator lot is provided to make any sense of the results?
Best wishes, Tom
