Does anyone know of any published work that covers the training programs
engaged in by magical orders (or the more magical neopagan groups) and
the associated or derived daily or regular ritual work deriving from
this? I am talking about academic work, not simply the Llwellyn book of
the month on self-initiation or the like.
I know that Luhrman discussed it a bit in her book when she went through
the process that new magicians go through but I can't recall seeing any
references to the programs of study that, say, a neophyte in a magical
order goes through or the daily work that this neophyte (or more
advanced members) are expected to maintain. We have Crowley's breakdown
of the work for the A.'.A.'. and orders such as the Servants of Light
and similar have regular work requirements but have any scholars looked
at this at all?
