Free Art and Design Museums' Conference, Oxford Dear Colleague, the 2009 MADNet (Museums' Art and Design Network) Conference entitled 'A Toolkit for Change' will be held at the Oxford University Museums on Wednesday 1st July. The conference aims are to: Raise awareness of current art education practice in schools. Enable museum educators to develop programmes to support classroom teaching. Equip museum educators with the skills necessary to enable pupils and teachers and pupils to access collections more effectively. The programme will include; Speaker Arthur Penn: (Ofsted Inspector, County Advisor and Education Consultant).'Making Connections with Art and Design; classroom practice and museum provision'. Five practical workshop sessions led by experienced artists, lecturers and teachers; including Sarah Simblett and Jan Ruddock. Round table discussion.
