We are pleased to announce the launch of the new University of Birmingham Portal www.my.bham.ac.uk to our c27,000 current students early last week.

This institutional Portal is delivered through SCT Sungard’s Luminis Platform III and has taken two years in planning and conception. The first services that students will be offered include online registration for the 2004/05 session and access to WebCT, our campus iVLE, and Athens DA resources to name but a couple of services. Between now and Freshers’ week, we will be adding many more resources and applications including the full integration of our library management system Talis Prism.
