The HEN annual lecture this year will be a round table event. A motion will be put forward that "Policy makers should focus on improving the health of the worst off rather than narrowing the distribution of health".

 

Richard Cookson (York) will speak for, and Kate Pickett (York) will speak against.

 

Jo Wolff (UCL), Dave Buck (Department of Health), Julian Le Grand (LSE), Rudolf Klein (LSE) and Richard Wilkinson (Nottingham) will then all comment briefly on the speakers' presentations, before we throw the whole thing open to the floor.

 

The event will be held at the LSE (Room NABLG.01 – New Academic Building. Map: http://www2.lse.ac.uk/mapsAndDirections/findingYourWayAroundLSE.aspx)   on the evening of November 12^th (6pm start) and is sponsored by LSE Health.
