announcements. Although this list is established to facilitate the

and practitioners in the UK.

There is no specific academic focus for debate, and there are no limits
on discussion topics either provided they fall within the defined theme
of the Baltic-Studies list and comply with usage guidelines.

The list has been set up to facilitate discussion on the Baltic States
between and amongst scholars and practitioners in many different fields
of research, both in terms of scholarship and teaching. In particular,

BASA was established in 1991 to encourage research in the history of
Black and Asian peoples in Britain. BASA organises workshops for teachers,
participates in education conferences, and campaigns on educational and
institutional racism issues. In 1999, BASA established the Black and
Asian Archives Working Party (now the BASA Research Resources Working
