Dear Michael
Sincere thanks for the very interesting photocopies that arrived by second post today.
They are certainly worthy of wider distribution and would enhance the enjoyment of  'Kim' and the 'Indian ' stories and poems.

The glossary is excellent, but could do with a little editing.
Example: Jezail is translated as a native made bullet. It is in fact an Afghan heavy long barelled rifle. (See 'Arithmetic on the Frontier' -
'Two thousand pounds of education/ Drops to a ten-rupee jezail ')
