Dear Umberto, You could also look at it from a different angle: in Germany at least they have started in recent years to advertise positions internationally. If you look at countries like Italy (and Spain, etc.), you almost never hear about any position, irrespective of the level required. The advantage of the ad in German is that it reaches all German speaking scientists, whatever their national background or whereabouts. So I would like to take this opportunity to call upon all universities to do the same: please advertise positions internationally, whatever the language requirements may be.
