		FREE on-line Computer Courses

If you are working for a company in London with less than 50 members of
staff and are prepared to participate in our pilot programme, Future Focus
is offering 300 places on an on-line computer course, free.  Courses such
as Office 97, HTML, C++ and Java are on offer, some courses lead to a
recognised qualification. An introductory session on how to navigate
through the on-line courses will be given at both Ealing and Slough Campuses. 

Thames Valley University in collaboration with Knowledge Pool (ICL), NetG
and sponsored by the Government Office of the South East (GOSE), provide
training to the Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) user via the Internet
(FutureFocus).  With Over 240 courses available ranging from basic to
advanced ICT skills and Business Management courses.  Another 40 Courses in
ICT and 75 courses in Business Management by Jan 2000.

On 6th Oct 99, Future Focus Project won the award for the Top IT training
initiative of the year at the Grovesnor House Computing Awards for
Excellence event. The event was attended by 900 people from the IT Industry
and is regarded as the most important annual event for the industry in the
UK. 

"This is a significant endorsement from the IT Industry for what we are
doing and reflects the encouragement we have received from other sources,
both public and private.  What won the award was the combination of
partnership between public and private sectors as well as the innovative
nature of the FutureFocus project which provides on-line IT training with
24-hour on-line support, targeting especially SMEs." Hamid Momtahan Project
