For historical reasons, I was originally titled "Flexible Learning Officer", which means very little in the UK, but appears to be synonymous with a Distance Learning specialist in Australia. All very confusing, because I'm effectively a Learning Technology officer. Our Faculties have Faculty Learning Technology officers (we are all on ALC grades). We are not expected to publish and do research, but in fact we do. I can make any date in week beginning 6th December, but would prefer to avoid travelling on a Friday.
