Hi Ox users, Apparently like quite a few other I had some problems installing Ox under Linux (Redhat 6.0), or more specifically, to get QuadPack running. The error message was >Link error: 'quadpk' cannot load dll >Link error: 'QNG' undefined function The solution to this problem was connected to a small remark in Jurgen's page http://www.nuff.ox.ac.uk/users/doornik/download.html#oxpackdll saying that "Note that the Linux versions of Arfima and QuadPack require f2c. " With RedHat 6.0 (and probably other versions as well) the f2c package does not get installed automatically, as g77 is used for compiling fortran programs. To get QuadPack to run, one should install the file (e.g. downloaded from the Netherlands): ftp://ftp.surfnet.nl/mirror/linux/distributions/redhat/powertools/6.0/i386/f2c-19990326-1.i386.rpm Hope this is of help to some of you, Charles Bos -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ | Charles Bos | | | Faculty of Economics, EUR | Tel. +31 10 408 12 63 or | | Tinbergen Institute, H11-23 | +31 20 551 35 24 | | Burg.
