*Apologies for cross-posting* RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY EPI-Centre, Social Science Research Uni INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION University of London Due to sick leave, the Centre for the Evaluation of Health Promotion and Social Interventions (EPI-Centre) is likely to require a full-time researcher, on a temporary basis, to provide research assistance with the Centre's programme of work on evidence-based health promotion. In particular, assistance is required for a systematic review entitled ‘A review of the barriers to, and opportunities for, mental health promotion in young people'. Duties will include locating relevant literature through hand searching and electronic searching of commercially available databases (Medline, PsycLIT etc); classifying and describing studies and critical appraisal of the studies. There will also be an opportunity to contribute to the wider remit of the EPI-Centre such as responding to enquiries and updating and maintaining the Centre's specialist registers of health promotion research. You must have a first degree or equivalent in a social or health-related science, experience/ knowledge of different methodologies used within social science research, experience with using databases, and the ability to organise and prioritise workloads. Although not essential, previous experience in conducting systematic reviews would be an advantage. This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to gain experience in conducting research for evidence-based policy and practice within health care or the wider social sciences. Salary will be on the Research Grade 1A Scale.
