Dear all
I have just spent an hour writing a placatory message to
Shelley, because I originally received her posting 'off-list'. Having
reconnected to send that message, I find the same thing posted
'on-list'
I won't bore you with the full text of my message to Shelley
but, just so there is no doubt:
- I don't do 'thinly veiled' - or for that matter 'thickly
veiled' personal attacks.
- If I have a problem with a posting (and I emphasise 'posting'
rather than 'individual') then my response will always be addressed to the
writer
- If my response to a posting could, in any way, be considered
as a personal attack, or deals with any issue that I think the recipient might
prefer to be dealt with tactfully, I send a personal message, rather than make
a list posting.
- And, just for the record, the posting to which this response
refers was the first from Shelley that prompted me to write.
If anyone else wants to accuse me of something, could they
have the decency to do so 'off-list' and, in the meantime, can we leave personal
attacks for other venues please?
Hugs, kisses and respect to you all.
Richard
