Dear Anita,

The exchange in question was actually some silliness. The humour was
obviously rather culturally and geographically relative. In Ron's post
to the list regarding the Singer/Asch debate he played upon the idea of
disability theorists on tour and himself on tour with the Rolling
Stones, a British rock band which was quite popular in the 70s and 80s.
In addition, Ron alleged that he is a better singer than Mick Jagger,
who is the lead singer of the band. For those not familiar with Mick
Jagger and the Stones, Jagger has a trademark defiant pose and pout and
lips were an insignia of the group throughout the 80s. This is what I
was referring to when I challenged Ron on pouting. It had nothing to do
with Singer. Hope this clarifies. (Sorry for the lousy joke.)

Best regards, Shelley Tremain
