Dear List,

Merthyr Tydfil has one of the highest rates of teen pregnancy in the UK. At
present, pregnant teenagers of school age are taken out of school and
provided with individual home tuition.

We are now planning to change this system so that these young women receive
education in a centralised venue, as a group, three days a week.

In addition to the familiar education agenda, we would like to ensure that
we can provide appropriate inputs from health/social services.

Can anyone send me ideas or examples of effective programmes for this kind
of set-up? Obviously, we have our own ideas, but don't want to have to
re-invent the wheel...

Thanks
