Hi:

The ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) has published guidelines re. various cardiac conditions and recommendations.  The organization also breaks down various activities depending on the degree of "static" vs "dynamic" stresss imposed and bases recommendations on this classification of sports.

These guidelines are available in the original form, or can be found in the following text, "The Team Physician's Handbook", published by the ACSM.
