8/9/99 Hi I recently joined the list because of an interest in disability research. Almost everything thus far, however, seems to be focussed on ethics (and most of it on Peter Singer, who is to me an obscure ethicist in a university too far away to have any impact on us!) I have no problem with the importance of ehtical issues and the need to debate them, it is just not what I am looking for. So I just want someone to tell me if this is the usual pattern or an aberration: if the former I will unsubscribe; if the latter, I will hang in for a while.
