Dear Jameela, have you tried the _Vocabolario degli accademici della Crusca_ (first published in 1612)? It is a fundamental work for any discussion of the 'questione della lingua' in the C.17, and is indispensable for some of the more obscure and archaic forms of Italian. Hope this helps. Buon lavoro! Domenico. ___________________________________________________________ Dr Domenico Zanre' Department of Italian Hetherington Building Bute Gardens University of Glasgow GLASGOW G12 8RS Tel: ++44 (0141) 3305198 Fax: ++44 (0141) 3301119 >From: Jameela Ann Lares <[log in to unmask]> >Reply-To: [log in to unmask] >To: [log in to unmask] >Subject: Dictionaries for Renaissance Italian >Date: Fri, 10 Sep 1999 12:58:58 -0500 (CDT) > > >Although I am a professor of English, I am still a student of Italian. >What dictionaries with older word forms/vocabularies can other members >recommend for Renaissance Italian?
