Dear Jameela,

have you tried the  _Vocabolario degli accademici della Crusca_ (first 
published in 1612)? It is a fundamental work for any discussion of the 
'questione della lingua' in the C.17, and is indispensable for some of the 
more obscure and archaic forms of Italian. Hope this helps.
