Soundscape recordings from around the United Kingdom will be presented as sonic installations. The de-territorialisation involved in presenting soundscapes which may be part of an indoor, outdoor, public or private environment in a gallery allows for the exploration of sonic properties which are otherwise blocked by other stimuli. This event is divided into moments which relate to a specific environment, the listener is able to perform a unique soundwalk through a series of more or less familiar sound environments which can be rendered in succession or simultaneously. An interactive display allows for the visitor to choose which soundscape is to be played in the gallery at any moment. Starting from a chaotic layering of elements from different geographical areas, by selecting one of these areas the visitor can access a specific soundscape.
