I think this is the appropriate forum, for the comments on design theory
were very valuable, and surprisingly (or not), they brought light to the
enormous diversity among all of us in terms of what design is about. This is
a major subject for us, and its discussion here helps us to learn the
challenges we have ahead as designers to find some common ground and, at the
same time, survive (and learn) with the different opinions/perspectives. I
am afraid that if we avoid this day-to-day communication we will miss the
opportunity of having many people participating the way they are, in an
almost face-to-face discussion. As we could see, we had many different
contributions which triggered interesting comments. Even more interesting,
all seemed right. And I am certain, each person who wrote thought they were
right. Is there a one true theory? What is next on this discussion?
