            Department of Geography and Environment 
            Chair/Reader in Human Geography/Environmental Policy 
            (Chair salary by negotiation: Readership salary up to £37,084 per annum inclusive) 
            The Department seeks to appoint to a senior position an ambitious person with a record of outstanding scholarly achievement and proven research leadership skills. Applicants will be considered from any area of relevance to the Department's clearly defined fields of interest which cover economic, social and development geography, environmental policy analysis and spatial governance. In the case of the Chair, only candidates with a truly international reputation of research and publication will be considered. 
            Candidates must be able to teach and research within the LSE's dynamic multi-disciplinary social science environment at a level of scholarship commensurate with its position as a leading international centre for social science research and training.

            Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Human Geography/Environmental Policy 
            (Senior Lectureship salary up to £37,804 per annum inclusive; Lectureship salary up to £32,199 per annum inclusive) 
            Applications are invited for a career track appointment tenable from 1 January 2000. Candidates should have proven records of high quality research and publications in any area of economic, social and development geography, environmental policy analysis and spatial governance, compatible with the Department's clearly defined fields of interest. 
            Candidates must be ambitious and able to teach and research at the highest level of scholarship within LSE's multi-disciplinary social science environment.
