Wanted urgently: Researcher in AI Planning

"Planform" is a new EPSRC-funded joint research project,
due to start September 1999, in the area of Artificial 
Intelligence Planning.  It is led by the  Universities of 
Huddersfield, Durham and Salford, and backed by the UK National 
Air Traffic Services, and Cogsys Ltd.  The project will bring 
together the considerable expertise of the research teams at 
these three Universites, in order to solve some fundamental 
problems to do with planning algorithm  and planning domain model 
representation  and will develop a toolkit to enable an AI planner 
to be applied easily to new domains.
 
A vacancy exists at Salford for a researcher to work
on this exciting, world class project. The successful
candidate will have a higher degree in an area of Artificial 
Intelligence allied to Planning, or an equivalent research record.
He/she will posses good communication skills and be prepared
to travel, and work as part of a team. 

The project is funded for 26 months and the post pays up to 20,867
