The Department of Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London invites
applications for the established Chair of Human Geography, which falls
vacant following Professor Denis Cosgrove's appointment to the Von Humboldt
Chair at UCLA. The Department seeks a scholar of outstanding international
reputation, who will provide research leadership in the area broadly defined
as social and cultural geography.
The Department achieved a Grade 5a status in the 1996 Research Assessement
Exercise, runs three successful Masters courses including the MA in Cultural
Geography, and has a thriving postgraduate community.
