Two year fixed-term appointment A new physiotherapy research laboratory has opened at the University to complement the existing laboratories (muscle function and human motion) in the Human Motor Performance Group. Action Research has funded our team of researchers to investigate the effects of open vs. closed kinetic chain training of the knee extensors on knee laxity after ACL injury and surgical reconstruction. A Research Assistant/Research Fellow is required for knee assessments and the day-to-day running of this study. Applicants must hold a BSc (Hons) degree in physiotherapy and have experience and interest in orthopaedic physiotherapy. A part-time research assistant, funded by the NHS Executive, London Regional Office, Responsive Funding Programme, is required to assist in the day-to- day running of this project. Applicants must hold a BSc (Hons) degree in physiotherapy. Experience and knowledge in orthopaedics is desirable.
