Dear Dr Sood,
The patient who is having acute pain in the hand can be due to numerous
reasons. As there is radiological evidence of Hetrotropic
ossification you have to stop Passive exercises.Please verify is there is 
Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy(Shoulder hand Syndromme)Which is very common
if the shoulder if not mobilised early after a stroke.There can even be
DVT,so check for any swelling,warmth,tenderness.(Chances of DVT is there
only if the Limb was left unattended.)There are chances of a Subluxated
shoulder(Look for radiographic evidences).
