Dear all, The second ESRC Research Seminar in the series on 'New labour and the Third Way in Public services' will be on 'New Forms of Citizenship', and will be held at the University of Birmingham on 21 september 1999. This is to invite abstracts for papers (max 250 words) and invitations to participate. The main themes will be on: -rights and responsibilities of citizenship - inclusion and citizenship Abstracts (pref by e-mail) should reach me by 4 June. If accepted, you will be notified by the end of June, and full papers must be delivered by 6 sept. Participants, including discussants, will be selected (if the event is oversubscribed) taking account of ESRC Seminar guidelines to include a mix of disciplines and policy areas, 'less experienced researchers' and 'users'. There is no charge to attend, and there will be a limited sum of money available to reimburse travel costs.
