Not only are all DC elements optional, they are also repeatable. Think of a resource with a URN, an ISBN, an LCCN, a CODEN, and God-knows-what. The RDF representation would (I assume) use the URN or 1 other identifier of its choice, but the metadata could also include other DC.Identifiers for the resource. --Robin On Mon, 17 May 1999, Gisle Hannemyr wrote: > Simon Cox wrote: > > The value of the "rdf:about" attribute is the same > > as the value of DC.Identifier. > > HTML instantiates a slightly different model to RDF. > > This is history. > > OK. > > Just as a matter of interest: What is the purpose of the > property dc:identifier in RDF/XML? > > Or is it redundant, given the existence and purpose of the > rdf:about property? > > -- > - gisle hannemyr ( [log in to unmask] - http://home.sol.no/home/gisle/ ) > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > "Use the Source, Luke.
