To all who responded to the offer of a free copy of: Hattersley-Smith, G., 1991 The History of Place-names in the British Antarctic Territory British Antarctic Survey Scientific Reports No. 113, British Antarctic Survey, Cambridge. (The publication complements the official HMSO gazetteer of Antarctica, giving full historical information of every approved place-name, up to publication date, including which published maps the names appear on and full expedition histories. It is 700 pages long, in 2 volumes and includes 3 sheet maps, one of which is the now out-of-print BAS(Misc) 2 1:3 000 000 scale British Antarctic Territory, 1981.....an invaluable must for any Antarctic study.) They will be posted to you before the end of June, so bear with me while I sort them out. If anyone is still interested in a copy you are not too late, my colleague and I rescued the remaining unclaimed copies from the jaws of the skip. They are currently cluttering up my office. So let me know within the next week if you would like one.
