    MARSHALL-MONNET VISITING PROFESSOR OF EUROPEAN UNION STUDIES

The European Union Center of New York (New York University,Columbia
University, New School University, City University of New York), one of 10
EU Studies Centers in the United States funded by the European Commission,
seeks a senior scholar of the European Union, currently affiliated with a
non-U.S. University, to be the Center's Marshall-Monnet Visiting Professor
of European Union Studies in the spring 2000 semester
(mid-January-mid-May).

The Marshall-Monnet Professor will be expected to teach two graduate-level
courses/colloquia, one at Columbia and one at NYU,participate in
conferences and workshops at the four Center universities,meet with
graduate students, and contribute to the many other activities planned by
the New York Center. The stipend,housing and travel allowances are
awaiting budgetary approval.
