SCHOOL OF COMPUTER SCIENCE & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY UNIX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR GRADE 1 #15,735 - #17,570 PER ANNUM Applications are invited for the above post based in an expanding and successful school at the University that will be moving to purpose-built accommodation this year. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily maintenance of the Unix system, developing new and existing software and installing software packages. Other duties will include the creation and administration of user accounts on the system and the writing and updating of system documentation. The person appointed will also be responsible for the administration of the school's automated marking system. This post forms part of the Technical Services Group within the School, and the person appointed will liaise regularly with undergraduate students, researchers and members of staff. Candidates should possess degree-level qualifications and previous experience in computing or a related subject. This post is available immediately and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of two years in the first instance.
