BIOMED2 Journals Project Research Assistant

Salary Pay Range 5
(equivalent to SMP 29   18,280 per annum)

Fixed term contract for 2.5 years

A Librarian/Information Scientist with a postgraduate qualification is
required to assist in managing a project to identify reports of randomized
controlled trials from European specialized health care journals.  This
project is funded by the European Union under their BIOMED2 Programme.

The post-holder will be responsible for supervising a small team of
part-time staff identifying trials in UK journals, preparing reports,
ensuring that deadlines are met, and that the project is managed within
budget.  They will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access
and Excel, and e-mail.  Knowledge of ProCite would be an advantage.
