Call for papers: ---------------- STRUCTURAL GEOLOGY MINISYMPOSIUM at the Bristish Applied Mathematics Colloquium 1999 We will be organizing a minisymposium on Mathematical Aspects of Structural Geology at the Bristish Applied Mathematics Colloquium 1999, which is held at Bath from April 12 to April 15. With this minisymposium we have two things in mind - first, to try and bring together people from different backgrounds to discuss issues of relevance to structural geology, and second, to show to mathematicians that structural geology is an interesting and inspiring source of mathematical problems. The British Applied Mathematics Colloquium (BAMC) is an annual conference that is hosted by a different university each year. We expect over three hundred people to attend the BAMC in Bath, from a wide variety of mathematical and non-mathematical backgrounds. For more information please contact Mark A. Peletier or Giles W.
