I'm disgusted by Hoddle's comments and believe me his 'spiritual advisor' is not alone - I've been told about the infamous 'karma' directly by another. However, I think the problem is not lying, but secrets and silence, to borrow from feminist Adrienne Rich. Hoddle has given us an opportunity to respond (and we have, at length) ... and I think this issue has given disabled people more front page coverage than any disability issue that I can remember.
