Many thanks for all the replies. I have forwarded them all to Claire Taylor. They make things a lot clearer. I think that one of the things that Claire wanted to know was how Migne (or, rather, whichever source Migne was using) ended up with such incorrect dating for Raoul Ardent, and if there was some point at which scholarship woke up to this and established the correct date.
