QUEENS COLLEGE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR Academic & Cultural Programs CALANDRA ITALIAN AMERICAN INSTITUTE The John D. Calandra Italian American Institute, Queens College, City University of New York, seeks applications for Assistant Director, Academic & Cultural Programs. The Institute carries out organized research on the Italian American experience and provides instruction, counseling, and service to Italian American students and community. The Assistant Director will conceptualize and implement scholarly research and cultural programs; identify funding sources; write grant proposals. Will work closely with the Director of Research & Education and the Distinguished Professor of Italian American Studies, and assist in the preparation of The Italian American Review, the Institute's social science Journal. Qualifications: B.A. and 4 yrs' exp required. Ph.D. in one of the social sciences, with a specialization, and research in Italian American Studies preferred; record of scholarly publications and at least 4 yrs of relevant research exp preferred. Salary: $32,062-$51,532, based on quals/exp.
