Chair of German (1776) The vacancy has arisen following the recent retirement of Professor Eda Sagarra. Candidates should have a distinguished record of scholarly research in one or more areas of German studies. Administrative duties within the Department of Germanic Studies will include headship of the department, in accordance with the College's procedures. Appointments will be made at an appropriate point of the professorial salary scale, currently IR£48,175 - IR£62,250.
