Members might be interested in a one day seminar on preserving the records of British Friendly Societies to be held on Friday 19 March at the Open University in Milton Keynes. The aim of the day is to set up a network of archivists, historians and others interested in the history of friendly societies. We also hope to set up a database of information about friendly societies and think about organising a conference.
