Morning all, and apologies for cross posting. A scoping study for an Internet showcase for higher education in the UK has recently been completed <http://www.jisc.ac.uk/pub98/shopwind.html>. This study was commissioned by JISC and the four UK funding bodies. CVCP, UCAS and the British Council have also been involved in the initial stage. A consultancy firm has been appointed by the steering group <http://www.hefce.ac.uk/Partners/Mallhome.htm > to help create a business plan for the site. It is at this stage in the project development that the steering group would like to solicit views from people in HE who maintain their institution's web presence (either on the technical side or the content side) as this proposed site will have some sort of relationship to individual institution sites. A new mailbase list has been set up to discuss the proposed new site, called:- [log in to unmask] To join send a message to [log in to unmask] with the following in the body join hemall-discussion Firstname Lastname stop If there's sufficient interest, a meeting between the consultants and any interested parties from UK institutions could be organised for sometime in April.
