When proportionally normalizing without grand mean scaling, what is the formula
used to obtain the adjusted pixel values ?

In ROI analysis I have simply divided the ROI value for a given subject's scan
by the global value of that scan.  Thus the final value for the ROI is the
fraction of the global value for that scan.  Is this what is done with
proportional scaling with SPM ?
