Dear PhD Design souls, People keep joining the group which is great - what we might do together remains obscure - perhaps as we move towards the next conference the use of this space will become more obvious. Meanwhile - I have been working on an assessment tool to assist with determining if Problem based Laerning is taking place. I am wondering if people might wish to respond, either to the survey itself and/or to the design of the survey. It is based on work by Schon. It seems to me, that Schon, as a professional philosopher, did the job of establishing how to look at the work we do as design educators - somehow the thoroughness of his treatment has been lost in the rush to quote the bits about how people who practice also think.
