There will be a postdoctoral position opening this fall in the Metal Cluster Chemistry Group at Argonne National Laboratory, Argonne, Illinois, USA. The successful candidate will join an active group studying the gas phase chemical reactions of transition metal clusters, with emphasis on reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and chemical probes of metal cluster structure. For a recent example, see E. K. Parks et al. J. Chem. Phys. 109, 10207 (1998). A Ph.D. in chemistry or physics within the past three years is required. Applicants need not be US citizens. Salary depends on experience, but starts at approx. USD 41 500. The appointment is for one to two years.
