In the newly founded interdisciplinary DFG-FORSCHERGRUPPE
"Nanostruktuierte Funktionselemente in makroskopischen Systemen",
http://www.nanoproject.de, a three year PhD position to work in
the group of Prof. R. Schmidt is available immediately.
The successful candidate will investigate laser induced conformational
changes of organic molecules at surfaces using wavepacket and
molecular dynamics methods together with density functional theory.
The project will be carried out in close collaboration with the experimental
groups of the Forschergruppe working on optically induced switching
devices in the nm range.
The university and city of Dresden are two of the most thriving
places in Germany.
