PHD STUDENTSHIPS, CHEMICAL DYNAMICS GROUP, INSTITUTE OF ATOMIC AND MOLECULAR SCIENCES, ACADEMIA SINICA, TAIWAN, ROC PhD studenships and postdoctoral fellowships are available in the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, ROC. The primary mission of the candidate is to investigate chemical dynamics of high energy carbon cluster C2 and C3 reactions with sulfur containing molecules and unsaturated hydrocarbons employing crossed molecular beams techniques. These reactions are relevant to the high temperature chemistry in outflows of dying carbon stars, combustion flames, and chemical vapor deposition processes.A second research option is to understand the reaction dynamics of CH and C2H radicals with un- saturated hydrocarbons as an important means to form highly unsaturated radicals in cold, interstellar molecular clouds. Candidates must have a masters degree or equivalent in physical chemistry or physics. Pertinacious energetic candidates should send inquiries to Dr. Ralf I. Kaiser, Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, Academia Sinica, 1 Section 4, Roosevelt Rd., Taipei, 106, Taiwan, ROC.Tel:886-2-23645370;Fax:886-2-23620200; email:[log in to unmask] http://po.iams.sinica.edu.tw/~kaiser. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
