TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITION: Computational Chemistry The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Old Dominion University will be filling at least one new tenure-track position in Computational Chemistry at the Assistant Professor level. The position(s) will be available beginning the Fall semester of 2000. We are interested in applicants with a strong background in theoretical chemistry or theoretical biochemistry. A Ph.D. is required, and postdoctoral experience is preferred. A strong commitment to teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels is required, as well as the ability to conduct a vigorous, externally funded research program. The university is supporting this initiative with the acquisition of a SUN Enterprise 10,000 HPC. The computer, which has 32 UltraSPARC 400 MHz processors and 32 gigabytes of fully-addressable shared memory, will be available to support the successful applicant's research interests. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry presently offers B.S. degrees in both Chemistry and Biochemistry and graduate degrees in Chemistry (M.S.) and Biomedical Sciences (Ph.D.).
