European Museums' Information Institute EMII Standards Co-ordinator - salary package 46,000 euro EMII Standards Assistant - salary package 30,000 euro The European Museums' Information Institute requires a Standards Co-ordinator and Standards Assistant for a 1 year project starting in September 1999. The aim of the project is to assemble and disseminate museum information management standards to all 15 EC member states plus associated countries. Based in Cambridge, UK the project is being managed by mda. Secondments are welcome. Successful candidates will be able to communicate in at least one other European language apart from English and will be able to travel extensively. The Standards Co-ordinator will have a proven track record in standards development in the cultural heritage sector as well as the management of projects with successful outcomes. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential. The Standards Assistant will have proven skills in the successful implementation of standards as well as experience in one or more of the following: web design; network management; exploiting new technologies.
