Hello everyone I am a third year BA (Hons) Information Management student working on research which is examining the visibility and bibliographic control of electronic journals through their inclusion in search engines and indexing and abstracting services. The research to-date indicates that there are a number of electronic journals which are not indexed by any search engines. We feel this could be either as a result of the way search engines work or as a result of something the electronic journals in question are doing or not doing. Does anyone have any experience of indexing of electronic journals by search engines? Any comments would be gratefully received.
